Police & Fire Commission Meeting Closed Session Minutes – August 19, 2020
Chairman Krauski called the meeting to order at 3:45 pm and Tony Posnik, Humarn Resources, confirmed
appropriate meeting notice had been given.
Members present: Krauski, Schmidt, Barry, Miller, Wiemer and Non-Voting Council Representative Schellpeper
Staff present: Posnik
Everyone in the audience attending the Police & Fire Commission was asked to leave until the closed session
reconvenes back into open session and the doors were closed.
2.a. Motion by Barry to convene into closed session, per Wis. Stats 19.85(1)(c) Considering employment,
promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body
has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (Chief of Police Position 2nd Interview); second by Schmidt. Motion carried
5-0. Closed session commenced at 3:50 pm.
2.b. Reconvene into open session, per Wis. Stats. 19.85(2): Motion by Wiemer to reconvene into open
session per Wis. Stats. 1985(2); second by Schmidt. Motion carried 5-0. Open session convened at 7:10 pm.
2.c. Consider/act on Appointment of Public Safety Director: Motion by Schmidt to appoint Captain James
Pfister to the position of Public Safety Director for the City of Oconomowoc; second by Barry. Motion carried 4-1.
Miller voted no.
Motion by Schmidt to adjourn; second by Wiemer. Motion carried 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.

meeting of the Police & Fire Commission in order to gather information. The only action to be taken at the above noticed meeting
