This constitutes a meeting of the Common Council pursuant to State ex rel. Badke v. Greendale Village Board, 173Wis. 2d 553, 494 N.W. 2d 408 (1993) and must be noticed as such, although the Common Council will not take any formal action at this meeting. 1  MEMORANDUM CLERKS Date: May 14, 2021 To: Mayor Magnus Protection & Welfare Common Council From: Diane Coenen, City Clerk Re: Wine Maniacs Wine Bar & Bistro – “Class B” License RELATES TO THE STRATEGIC PLAN Strategic Goal - N/A BACKGROUND The City received an application for a new “Class B” Intoxicating Liquor/Fermented Malt Beverage license for Wine Maniacs II, LLC, dba Wine Maniacs Bar & Bistro, Chad M. Bertrand, Agent, for the property located at 114 N. Main Street. The property (formerly known as The Pub) sold on May 20, 2021 and Aelred M. Gannon owner of The Pub has surrendered his license back to the City. Wine Maniacs is relocating from the Town of Oconomowoc and plans to open on June 15, 2021. The Applicant meets all State Statutes and Chapter 12 requirements. I have included a copy of the floor plan and there are no major changes from the previous establishment’s operation. ADDITIONAL ANALYSIS N/A FINANCIAL IMPACT The “Class B” license is a regular license and will expire on June 30, 2021. The prorated fee is $100.00 and the license will come forward for renewal during our annual June licensing renewal period. RECOMMENDATION Protection & Welfare Recommendation: Move to recommend granting a new 2021 “Class B” Intoxicating Liquor/Fermented Malt Beverage license to Wine Maniacs II, LLC.
