. City of Margaret April 16, 2019 6:00 P.M. In attendance: Councilman Perry, Councilman Carter, Councilman Ray, Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre, and Mayor Howard Absent: Councilman Chapman Prayer: Mr. Barker Mayor Howard called Meeting to order Discussion Mayor Howard asked for approval of minutes for April 2, 2019. Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre made the Motion to approve minutes for April 2, 2019. Councilman Carter seconded the Motion. Motion passed unanimously. The Council discussed having a workshop to discuss Subdivision Rules and Regulations on 4/25/2019 @ 6:00PM. Mayor Howard asked the Council to surplus some vehicles on Gov Deals. A. 2007 Ford F150 B. 1999 GMC Sonoma C. 1965 Mack Fire Truck Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre made the Motion to authorize the Public Works Department to surplus the vehicles. Councilman Carter seconded the Motion. The Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre left the meeting to answer a phone call at 7:10 PM. Councilman Perry made the to pay up to $97,000.00 to Vulcan Materials in order to pave Hunter’s Crossing. Councilman Carter seconded the Motion. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Pro-Tem McIntyre did not participate in the vote. Mr. Barker will get a quote on paving Sunrise from entrance to the previous paved part. Chief Bryan Smith is working on an “no parking” ordinance for all city  streets City Council takes a break from 7:15 PM to 7:18 PM Mayor Howard informed Council that Advanced Disposal has been bought out by Waste Management. Mayor Pro -Tem McIntyre returns to Council table to collect his things. (7:25 PM) Councilman Ray addressed the Council about the Youth Association doing the gym floor for the Margaret Elementary. Councilman Perry made the Motion to pay $1780.00 to Wise Flooring to do gym floor. Councilman Carter seconded the Motion. Motion passed unanimously. Councilman Ray informed the Council that he got a quote to add an additional toddler swing to the equipment at Wilson Park. The Quote is for $1940.00. Councilman Perry recommends replacing one of the regular swings with a baby swing. Councilman Ray will get a quote on a baby swing. Councilman Carter would like for Councilman Ray to get a quote on resurfacing basketball courts at both parks, and also getting new basketball goals. Council Ray brought up the subject of giving full-time employees a 3% across board raise. Mayor Howard would like to know the figures before calling for a vote, because the Council just approved vision insurance for full-time employees. Councilman Ray made the Motion to adjourn.
