Meeting at The Hour Glass Museum called to order at 6:33 p.m.
Minutes: Ken asks for approval of the May 13, 2025 Minutes of the
Annual Meeting of the Members and Minutes of the Annual
Meeting of the Board of Directors. Greg moved to
approve the minutes, Susan seconded, and motion passed.
Financial Report: Dawn provided the Accounts Balances, Income/Expense
Comparison, and Membership Report for June 9, 2025.
Dawn will request distributions from the Porter County
Community Foundation. Dawn reports that Bernadette
stated the $2,000 check is a donation for the Home Tour.
Dawn reports membership numbers updated. Dawn requests
disbursements of $1,633.12 to Bernadette Slawinski for
Bus Expenses for the Home Tour, $3,830.76 to HP Construction
the balance for construction of the sidewalk, $214.95 to Karl for
five holly plants, and $199.00 to Marie for landscaping. Judy
moved to aprove Dawn issuing these checks, Marie seconded,
motion passed. Dawn reports Landmark will provide insurance for
the Home Tour and COi for each homeowner. The difficulty of
planning this Home Tour compared to two previous home tours
was discussed.
Membership/ Ken requests the committee meet to create a strategic plan.

Programs committee to work on soliciting information for a 2025
Time Capsule
Special Proiects: Auction of Street Signs - Julia reports that the street signs are
placed on GalaBid to be auctioned. Marie moved that the time
to bid remain open until after Labor Day, seconded, and passed.
Discussion of HSOD purchasing bricks for new Pavilion at Kratz
Field. Dorothy will contact Andrew Gurschick to co9rdinate
bricks for HSOD, Sue Mechtersheimer, and others.
Ken asks for new exhibit when David Larson Photograph Exhibit
is removed after 3 months. Julia states POCO, the Art Barn
and other groups are displaying Hazel and Vin Hannell's art
work and suggest this as our next exhibit. Dick to contact POCO
about Hannell Exhibit.
Ice Cream Social - Marie reports $588.16 was earned at social.
Building and Grounds: Discussions of replacing front door area and portico. Dick
states may need Historical Landmark approval to change front door
area. Dick states that the garage door is entrance for wheelchair
since aligned with lift. Dick states that the floor inside the front
door needs replaced, but front door should remain.
Marie thanks Karl and Greg for their work on the planters. Karl
'reports neighbor across the street agrees to our expanding
the parking to the width of the town property. Marie reports
that Miller Garden Club donated red bud tree and verbena
bush planted in back yard of Hour Glass.
