Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Summary Date of meeting: October 9, 2023 Location: Town Hall. In attendance: Jim Slawinski, Tom Cleland, Dave Snyder, Matt Moore. The following is a summary of notations made during the meeting: 1. Appoint minute taker: Tom Cleland appointed himself to take notes for minutes at this meeting. 2. Approve minutes from August and September 2023 meeting: Motion was made by Jim Slawinski to approve; motion seconded by Tom Cleland. 3. 3rd quarter billing update: Water bills were sent out as of 10/1/2023. No financial update as Julia is on vacation this week. 4. Possible late bill charges: On hold at this time. 5. IAWC rate increase: awaiting an answer fro IAWC later this year. 6. Ultrasonic water meter research: ODWW has a 1” meter that will be used on the IAWC site to test and see how this meter works. To date, IAWC has used approx. 3 million gallons on their current meter. 7. Water department presentation: likely that Devon will give update at the December 2023 Town Council meeting. 8. No further info back from USIC on the billing discrepancies. 9. USIC/Frontier locate billing: this billing was turned over to Jeremy Ogden who then in turn gave to Frontier rep. Frontier has agreed to reimburse the Town for these fees. 10. Phase 2 building quotes: awaiting a revised bid from contractor to move forward hopefully Fall of ‘23. 11. Phase 3 landscaping of water building: this work is on hold until Spring 2024. ODWW will still be looking for bids this Fall ‘23 for this upcoming work. 12. Phase 4 Fire pump control replacement: Matt Moore will be following up with Mechanical Concepts to get a cost on rebuilding the actuator control. 13. Zenner software update: the residential app should be out by Zenner in Oct/Nov’23 for use by homeowners. 14. Pump station indoor painting: on hold until winter time. 15. Street gate valve repairs/maintenance: Matt Moore to provide a list of needed repairs at next board meeting. 16. Water pressure/flow test: a test kit was provided by testing company and performed by our crew. Testing went well just awaiting final test reports from test agency. 17. Awaiting a quote from plumber to remove and replace the buffalo box at the 156 Shore (Jensen) property. 18.
