Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Summary Date of meeting: July 1, 2024 Location: Town Hall. In attendance: Jim Slawinski, Tom Cleland, Dave Snyder, Matt Moore, Julia Klingesmith, and Leslie Tyburski. The following is a summary of notations made during the meeting: 1. Appoint minute taker: Tom Cleland appointed himself to take notes for minutes at this meeting. 2. Approve minutes from June 2024 meeting: Motion was made by Jim Slawinski to approve; motion seconded by Tom Cleland. 3. Reviewed the June 2024 fund report with JS and rest of members. Due to an early monthly meeting of water board, the June fund report will be available mid July. 4. 1st quarter water/sanitation update: There were 638 billings sent out 7-1-24. 5. The 2024 water quality report has been posted on the OD website along with a hard copy at town hall. A ‘link’ to this report is also posted on the recent water/sanitation billings that just went out. 6. Still awaiting word on approval from Leslie Tyburski’s employer to move forward on her appointment. 7. Late Water/Sanitation bill payment; discussion was held that if consumers sign up for ‘autopay’ the water board would DEDUCT the late fee. 8.Still awaiting word back from USIC/811 as of 7/1/24. 9.The board did a quick review of ‘Future’ water capital projects: at this time, it has approved the installation of a new fire hydrant at Ogden Road and Cottonwood Drive not to exceed 12K. 10.Pump house WIFI is up and running; looking to get pricing on installation of interior cameras inside the water pump building. 11. Backflow testing update; residents are currently turning their backflow reports as needed. 12. Working on the backflow list via the Zenner software. 13. The new hydrant installation has been approved NTE 12K at Ogden Road and Cottonwood Drive. 14. The board has approved the purchase of 5 license plates from the Town of Ogden Dunes for vehicles. 15. Booster pump 3 is scheduled for removal and repair the week of 7-1-24; a new pump has also been ordered as a backup for future use. 16. The new building sign is under construction with a NTE 2K price per contractor. 17. No change on the Zenner customer portal and payment system. 18. MM has completed the fire hydrant flushing procedure and is now working on identifying which gate valves need servicing or cleanout. 19. No resident remarks at this time. 20. Closing remarks; DS has aksed for an update on looking into the purchase of a skidsteer for the Town/Water department. 24. Next board meeting is Monday August 12, 2024 at 4:30 pm. Sub note: 1. An update to the SIM card will be made by Matt Steinkamp of Utility Services with a cost NTE $300.00.
