Water Board Meeting

Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Summary Date of meeting: Monday October 14, 2024 Location: Town Hall. In attendance: Jim Slawinski, Tom Cleland, Dave Snyder, Matt Moore, Julia Klingesmith, and Leslie Tyburski. The following is a brief summary of notations made during the meeting: 1. Appoint minute taker: Tom Cleland appointed to take notes for minutes at this meeting. 2. Approve minutes from September 2024 meeting: Motion was made by Jim Slawinski to approve; motion seconded by Tom Cleland. 3.ME Simpson discussion: Matt will be doing a follow up with them. Still questioning how data is being logged into their system. 4. Julia presented the Water Department fund report. 5. Julia presented the 3rd quarter water / sanitation report: 14 home sales were converted this month. 6. All Zenner parts that were sent back have now been replaced and in our stock. 7. Zenner software: updates still ongoing. 8.Software review: while JS is out of town, TC and LT will be doing the software reviews in his absence. 9.No new updates on the USIC issue. 10.The pump house floor covering system was approved; a signed proposal was agreed upon to Level 10 coatings. 11. Updated backflow list via Zenner: JS and LT will be working on this in the future. 12. All 3 booster pumps have been either rebuilt and replaced. The spare pump should be arriving late October for stock. 13. TC informed MM that there are 2 exterior valves outside the water building in case the water building would need to be isolated from the system for service, etc. 14. Building signage is still in the works; no activity at this time. 15. TBD the speaker for water department at the TC December meeting. Year end updates. 16. JS was given phone numbers of the contractor for the water building facade work to obtain BEFORE pictures of the structure. 17. Pump house weed control: up to date at this time. 18. LT will be doing some additional plantings around the pump house building this fall ‘24. 19. An allowance of $500.00 was approved to provide Christmas lighting for the pump house. 20. Hydrant valves: MM has all hydrants logged into an ‘Excel’ spreadsheet. 24. No resident remarks 25. Board/Liaison remarks: DS brought up discussion on whether the water department would provide additional funding for the purchase of a skid steer. The board will review this request. 26. Next board meeting is Monday Nov. 4th at 4:30 pm.
