Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Monday, November 4th at 4:30 PM Location: Town Hall Present: Jim Slawinski (JS) Tom Cleland (TC) Leslie Tyburski (LT) Dave Snyder (DS) Matt Moore (MM) & Julia Klingensmith (JK) • The November 2024 Water Board Meeting started @ 4:30 PM with JS taking minutes. • The October 2024 Water Board Meeting Minutes were unanimously approved by the Water Board Directors. • The group discussed the M.E. Simpson Valve/Meter Pit GPS Proposal. MM will arrange a December follow-up meeting with M.E. Simpson and the Water Board Members to help answer any remaining questions and obtain a final project quote. • JK reviewed the tentative Water Department October Fund Report. • JK reported that 42 late Water/Sanitation Bill Notices have been sent out, with the overall number being much lower than the historical average. JK reported that the due date for late payment will be November 11th with red shutoff notices being sent out on November 13th or 14th with shutoffs (if any) taking place on November 18th. • MM reported that Mechanical Concepts is currently working on adding alarms to multiple equipment in the Booster Pump House. There was some group discussion involving placing the Fire Booster Pump Control in automatic mode once all the Pelican Alarms are incorporated and fully tested. • JS did a quick Zenner Software Review with the group. While JS is away on vacation MM and TC will keep up with the Zenner “Network” Software and LT will keep up with the Zenner “Reader” Software. • JK reported that there is no new update involving past USIC Charges, other than the fact that USIC may owe us some money. We will continue to pay USIC only for work done within Ogden Dunes Town Limits. • MM reported that the recent issue with no natural gas at the Pump House has been resolved with the help from NIPSCO. • Using the currently available Zenner Software JS and LT will work on updating the Ogden Dunes Backflow list starting some time during the 1st qtr. of 2025. • The group will continue to look at the possibility of a booster pump bypass piping option. • JS will provide the Budget Committee a copy of the 2025 Water Department Budget.  • TC reported that there is no new timeline update on the pump house building sign, although work on a Town Sign is currently underway with the pump house sign scheduled to be next. • LT and JS along with input from the entire group will work on the State of the Water Department Presentation which will take place at the December 2024 Town Council Meeting. • JS was able to obtain from the General Contractor some pictures of the pump house from before, during and after the outside building project was complete. These photos were shared with the group during the meeting and some pictures will be used in the December Water Department Presentation. • LT will be doing some additional planting around the pump house before the end of the year. • LT and MM will make the necessary arrangements for Christmas lighting at the Pump House. JS mentioned to LT that she could use the Water Department Credit Card if necessary. • JS reported that there is no update involving the Zenner Customer Portal as well as any Zenner Software Invoice. • MM continues to work on the remaining street Water/Hydrant shutoff valve repairs with only a few remaining to be addressed. • DS reported that the town will no longer be looking at a Skid Steer Purchase. • DS mentioned that the board should review future capital projects for 2025.
