Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Summary
Date of meeting: Monday December 9, 2024
Location: Town Hall.
In attendance: Jim Slawinski, Tom Cleland, Dave Snyder, Matt Moore, Julia Klingensmith, and Leslie
Tyburski.
The following is a brief summary of notations made during the meeting:
1. Appoint minute taker: Tom Cleland appointed to take notes for minutes at this meeting.
2. Approve minutes from November 2024 meeting: Motion was made by Jim Slawinski to approve;
motion seconded by Tom Cleland.
3.ME Simpson discussion: Met with Randy Stultz from M.E. Simpson to discuss proposal and ask
questions. Randy will be updating their quote to reflect some changes requested.
4. Julia presented the Water Department fund report for November 2024.
5. The 2025 water budget was review with all. Motion to adopt the 2025 budget was passed.
6. MM gave his update on the ADDED Pelican controls in the pump house. MM will get with
Mechanical Concepts to add/relocate a sensor on the backup generator.
7. USIC update: status quo at this time.
8. ODWW Master Plan: TC will review and update for the January ‘25 meeting.
9. The pump house floor coating project is now complete.
10.An updated backflow list via Zenner will be worked on by Jim and Leslie 1 st quarter of ‘25.
11. Booster pump valve locations: MM will verify that these valves are located out in the green space
on the South and West side of the building.
12. The new building sign is approx. 50% complete at this time.
13. JS and LT will be doing the January 2025 TC meeting to update the board on the State of the
Water Department.
14. LT will be performing more plant/bulb installation provided the weather holds.
15. MM will be placing Christmas lights onto the pump house.
16. JS will be working on the Zenner customer portal and payment January 2025.
