Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Monday, May12th at 4:30 PM Location: Town Hall Present: Jim Slawinski (JS) Tom Cleland (TC) Leslie Tyburski (LT) Dave Snyder (DS) Mike Lanovich (ML) & Julia Klingensmith (JK) • The May 2025 Water Board Meeting started @ 4:30 PM with JS taking minutes. • The April 2025 Water Board Meeting Minutes were unanimously approved by the Water Board Directors. • JK distributed and reviewed the YTD Water Department Fund Report. The May (Final) Fund Report will be made available late in the week. • JK commented on the 60 Water/Sanitation Bill Late notices that were sent out with shutoff notices currently scheduled to be sent out on May 16th. • JS mentioned that he and Julia had a recent meeting with Tom Tittle and Helen Wilcox which resulted in current and future Water/Sanitation Billing Changes involving three locations being explained and agreed to by all parties involved. • ML will get in contact with someone from M.E. Simpson to get a starting date involving the Meter Vault GPS and Hydrant Water Flow Project previously approved by the Water Board. • JK reported that the invoice involving the 2” Meter Replacement at 58 Diana has now been paid. • TC will look at what revisions may be required for the meter vault at 58 Diana due to numerous freezing issues during the past winter. • JS reported that the Egolf Coats invoice regarding the broken water line at 54 Shore has been paid by the Water Department, but both the town and the Water Department will be reimbursed by the contractor involved per Jeremy Ogden. • LT and ML will investigate ground type lighting for both the Pump House as well as the future Pump House Sign. • LT and ML will make the necessary arrangements for additional wood chips to be installed around the pump house. • JS thanked TC for his work involved in installing an outdoor outlet between the pump house and the Water Department Garage. • TC will look at the possible purchase of a commercial dehumidifier for the pump house.  • The Zenner/Water Department training date is currently scheduled for Wednesday, May 28th. JS will contact the individual conducting the training to get a breakdown of the items to be covered as well as the timeline. • JS has reviewed with ML the procedure for returning defective parts to Zenner with ML taking over from JS this practice of returning defective parts in the future. • JK reported that the last billing from USIC/Indiana 811 was correct, and we were invoiced only for work performed in Ogden Dunes. • There were no comments involving the Water Department 2025 Master Plan even though there are two items, the ME Simpson project mentioned earlier in this report and a possible dehumidifier for the pump house that are currently active. • JS & LT will get together soon to review the current Backflow List for any possible residential additions. • TC reported that the Pump House Sign is near completion. • JS reported that there has been no progress with the Residential Zenner Software or Zenner Software Billing. The water Department will continue, as they have, to monitor residential water leaks. • JK Mentioned that recently there were many Ogden Dunes Homes both sold and purchased, and she was concerned how the changes were to be made in the Zenner Software. JS and JK will get together in the near future to formalize a procedure.
