Ogden Dunes Water Board Meeting Minutes Summary
Date of meeting: June 9, 2025
Location: Town Hall.
In attendance: Jim Slawinski, Tom Cleland, Dave Snyder, Mike Lanovich, Julia Klingensmith, and
Leslie Tyburski.
The following is a summary of notations made during the meeting:
1. Appoint minute taker: Tom Cleland appointed himself to take notes for minutes at this meeting.
2. Approve minutes from May 2025 meeting: Motion was made by Jim Slawinski to approve; motion
seconded by Tom Cleland.
3. Reviewed the May 2025 thru 5-31-25 fund report with JS and rest of members.
4. The Water Department will be looking into help with the 2026 Town/Lake water testing
requirement.
5. There were 5 shutoffs; higher than normal.
6. ME Simpson has completed approx. 99% of water meter pit locations and are now onto fire hydrant
testing and recording flow data.
7. The ground lighting project now has an approved allowance of $3,500.00 to put forward on light
selection and materials.
8. ML has been asked to send one of his crew to perform weekly ‘weeding’ at the Water Building.
9. Additional wood mulch will be placed at the Water Building upon completion of outdoor ground
lighting installation.
10. For the commercial dehumidifier, TC will keep looking for a unit when it presents itself.
11. Shane from Utility Supply came up and did in house instruction for the crew.
12. An additional CD purchase may take place in the near future.
13. No new feedback on the Indiana 811 issue.
14. Status quo on the current Water Department Master Plan..
15. Jim and Leslie are currently working on updates to the backflow list thru the Zenner software.
16. A new building sign has been installed at the Water Building.
17. No new updates on the Zenner customer portal and payment system.
18. Next Water Board meeting is July 14, 2025 at 4:30 pm
