thanked all the committee members for commg APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms Kamtgakt asked for a motiOn to approve the mmutes Ms Lovell motioned to approve the mmutes from November 15, 2016 Ms Hellewell seconded Committee approved VICE CHAIR Smce only 6 members are present, the Committee decided to watt until the next meetmg to vote m the new V tce-Chau COMMITTEE TERMS Ms Kamtgakt stated that Craig Btehk, Bev Rudd, Ntkki Lovell, Ashley Wtlson and Ern1e Terrazas's terms are all expmng on Apnl 1st Ms Tuck motiOned to request reappomtment for all the members whose term IS exptrmg Ms Hellewell seconded Committee approved OPEN POSITION Ms Holly Smsse resigned from the committee Ms Olsen reported that Martlyn Mazza came to her office and asked to be considered to be on the committee when there IS an openmg Ms Olsen told her that she wtlllet the committee know Ms Lovell recommended Mr Steve Spurlock He worked for Btg D m the Pubhc RelatiOns Department, but IS now retired She feels Mr Lomond Hotel will change the table layout next year, so the kids can all see the screen Ms Kamigaki wrote "Thank You letters" to all the sponsors She heard back from McKay Dee, Smith's and Macey's, they want to support the event next year Ms Lovell said next year we should make golden tickets attached to a candy bar for Craig to pass out at the end of breakfast The ticket can be given to the tram conductors for a tram nde Ms Lovell Said we need to send out letters to different orgamzatwns requestmg donations She also suggested we contact Coke and see If they would hke to become a sponsor Ms Lovell suggested that Ms Kamigaki be the Chan of the Breakfast with Santa event Ms Kamigaki agreed to take the lead on the proJect FINANCIALS Ms Olsen passed out a sheet that showed our sales for the season PUBLIC COMMENTS Ms Olsen passed out a sheet that hsted all the comments we received from our virtual website Ms Olsen also stated that we had a mom write m to our Facebook and ask the we have more diversity m the VIllage Have elves from different natiOnalities WEBSITE The committee hked the new website They would hke to see more pictures OPEN DISCUSSION • Ms Lovell stated that Kevm Ireland approached her at a meetmg He said that the Breakfast Exchange Club IS meetmg With Mark Johnson to discuss gettmg a water source and more power for then hot chocolate booth • The committee would hke to take back the schedulmg of the rughtly entertamment • Mr Terrazas found the tram that was used back when we had an amusement park at that locatiOn He said this tram IS bigger and safer He would hke to set It up on the west end He would hke to bmld a tram statiOn and use the same tunnel we currently are usmg • Ms Lovell asked what the pohcy Is on the cottages Mr Terrazas said he asked Mr Lowder what the ongmal agreement was with the cottages Mr Lowder said that the builders were responsible for the cottage and repans for the first three years, after that, the cottage becomes the City's and we mamtam It Ms Lovell explamed that we had a situatiOn at the Egyptian Theater The foundatiOn feels that the cottage IS thens, but Ms Lovell has been decoratmg It for 10 years Mr Terrazas said we will change the lock on It so they can't get m • Mr Terrazas said that Ogden RegiOnal's cottage will be done this year He also spoke With Weber Basm Job Corp they would hke to bmld one for a class proJect • The Committee discussed the store Ms Olsen suggested askmg an organizatiOn to sponsor bmldmg a new store She asked the committee If they wanted to keep the store, each year we have a hard time fillmg all the days Ms Kamigaki suggested we only have It open on certam days The committee all feel It IS such a hit, they hate to not have It any longer MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF
