Ms. Grundie motioned to approve the minutes from September 7, 2017. Ms. Ritz seconded. Committee approved Mr Terrazas mtroduced Monte Stewart He IS the acting Pubhc Ways and Parks Manager OPENING CEREMONY Ms Olsen reported that the openmg ceremony has been approved We will move forward with the new scnpt MRS. CLAUS Ms Lovell and Ms Olsen met with Ms Janet Jones, she performs as Ms Claus for other events She has agreed to be Mrs Claus for the preschool tours on Monday and Wednesday and at the Breakfast with Santa HARVEST MOON Ms Ritz said for It was busy and very successful She said It was good publicity for the Chrtstmas VIllage Many people that came through satd they have never heard of the VIllage Ms Olsen satd we spent $100 00 on our craft and sold $134 00 worth of merchandise We used all 750 candy canes and had to shut down our booth at 4 45 pm Next year, we need more volunteers to help We need to rotate m 2 hour shifts COTTAGE LISTS Ms Olsen asked If everyone was able to contact the sponsors on thetr contact hsts The committee MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF OGDEN, UT SEPTEMBER 29,2017 PAGE 2 OF 3 all agreed that they have reached out to all the sponsors STORE VOLUNTEER HOURS Ms Olsen passed around the stgnup sheet We have all our days full She will email out the schedule to everyone Ms Mazza IS concerned about workmg the store alone Ms Ritz volunteered to work It with her FLOAT The float was plugged m and all the hghts work and the committee all agreed that it looked great No changes or updates are needed BREAKFAST WITH SANTA Bigelow Hotel IS preparmg a sack breakfast for the kids Ms Kamigaki and Ms Lovell met with Coke, they will find out m October If they will donate Coke Bears for the Mrs Claus toy They also mentiOned donatmg two large bears that we will give away at the breakfast This year Smith's IS donatmg rolls and browntes fm a dessert table Macy's has agreed to donate donuts and chocolate milk to all the elves and volunteers Ms Lovell and Ms Mazza would hke to make costumes for the elves The elves will borrow them and return them after the event Each year we will add more costumes Ms Olsen srud we need to vote on this and said when she spoke toMs Lovell that they would hke $300 00 to $500 00 Ms Kamigaki srud she was told It would be around $200 00 Ms Mazza said let's watt and get pnces fm the fabnc then decide Ms Olsen reported that Mr Biehk said he has found a banner we can use for a screen Mr Garcia srud he can also get one Ms Kamigaki smd that Ms Lovell has volunteered to approach a productiOn company that will run the film The committee agreed to let her do that and they may possibly have a screen Ms. Ritz has arranged for Fust Student bus to pick up the under pnvileged kids from the shelter Ms Kamigaki asked everyone to look for sponsors of the tables St Joseph School has requested two Breakfast with Santa tickets for theu silent auctiOn Ms Olsen said we need to be careful, If we give to one orgamzat10n, we may be approached to give to others We are also hostmg a fund raiser The committee discussed and voted a rruse of hands they voted ..yes" to donating the tickets Mr Garcia spoke with Santa Hugo, he has agreed to be the Santa at the breakfast Ms Olsen will call him and discuss the details With him OPEN DISCUSSION • Mrs Olsen asked the committee to mark their calendars November 141h at 6pm on the 3rd Floor of the Mumcipal Bmldmg the City Council and Mayor will honor the Wiggill's our Christmas VIllage Honorary Mayors We Will most hkely have a meetmg before the council meetmg • Mr W1lhamson reported that the school chmrs will perform on stage Tuesday through Fnday On Saturday, Sunday and Monday he will have a paid performer on stage • Mr Terrazas reported that Home Depot has committed to decoratmg their cottage th1s year .
