Ogden City Council Agenda April 3, 2018 City Council Chambers 2549 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah 84401 4:00 p.m. Joint Work Session City Council, also acting as the Redevelopment Agency City Council Work Room April 3, 2018 The purpose of the joint work session includes presentations and discussions regarding:  Agenda review for the City Council meeting;  Ogden/Weber Convention and Visitors Bureau Marketing and Annual Report;  Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Action Plan;  Redevelopment Agency Quarterly Update;  Council/Board business; and  Council/Board comments. Any items not fully addressed prior to the City Council meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m., may be addressed immediately following that meeting. 6:00 p.m. City Council Meeting City Council Chambers April 3, 2018 1. Roll Call. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Moment of Silence. 4. Recognitions: a. Child Abuse Prevention Month. Proposed joint proclamation declaring April 2018 as “Child Abuse Prevention Month” in Ogden City. (Approve joint proclamation – voice vote) b. Fair Housing Month. Proposed joint proclamation declaring April 2018 as “Fair Housing Month” in Ogden City. (Approve joint proclamation – voice vote) c. Ogden Civility Day. Proposed joint proclamation declaring April 12, 2018 as “Civility Day” in Ogden City. (Approve joint proclamation – voice vote) d. Boys and Girls Clubs of Weber-Davis. Joint proclamation declaring April 9-13, 2018 as “Boys and Girls Club Week” in Ogden City. (Approve joint proclamation – voice vote) e. Palette Club of Ogden – 75th Anniversary. Recognizing the Palette Club of Ogden’s 75 years in promoting the advancement of community interest in art and the encouragement of local artists. (No action required) April 3, 2018 Page 2 of 2 5. Request to be on the Agenda: a. Junior League of Ogden (JLO). Presentation regarding the Human Trafficking Education Initiative JLO will be facilitating. 6. Approval of Minutes: (Voice vote) a. Closed executive session of January 16, 2018 – Council member Blair 7. Common Consent: a. Planning Commission. Consideration of the appointment of Angel Castillo and the reappointments of Bryan Schade, Cathy Blaisdell, Lillie Holman, and Rick Southwick to the Ogden City Planning Commission. (Approve appointment/reappointments – voice vote) 8. Public Comments. This is an opportunity to address the Council regarding concerns or ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comment will be limited to three minutes per person. Participants are to state their name for the record. Comments, which cannot be made within these limits, should be submitted in writing to the City Council Office (citycouncil@ogdencity.com). The Council encourages civil discourse for everyone who participates in our meetings. Comments pertaining to an agenda item that includes a public hearing or public input should be given during the meeting as that item is discussed. 9. Comments: a. Mayor. b. Council members. 10. Continuation of Work Session if Necessary Public meetings may be held electronically in accordance with Utah Code Annotated 52-4-207 to allow Council members to participate via teleconference.
