Acceptance of Minutes:
• Mmutes from the March 8, 2017 were accepted as wntten With Vtce Chau mohonmg to
accept the mmutes Member Chris Stegen seconded and all voted m favor
New Member Approval and Re-Instatement with the City Council: Joanne Larsen and other
members who are up for re-mstatements will on the C1ty Council agenda for Apnl18 1h
Updates and Events:
• Update on Golden Hours Parking Lot: 155 thousand dollars from the CIP to redo the
parkmg lot and addmg to the hghtmg Ctty Engmeer, Jonathan Kntght, came up w1th the
design change to LED hghtmg and to prevent puddhng The Red Cross will be commg to
turmng this bmldmg and the Marshall White Center bemg converted to emergency
shelters A p1g tail w11l be mstalled for a generator to be used to run bmldmg This w1ll be
a separate proJect but domg 1t together The p1g tail w11l be 15-20 thousand dollars
Bhnds have been ordered for the gym and computer lab The pnce of these were about
$800 Next budget year we will look-at changmg the bhnds m the Social Hall. IT will be
rewmng and upgradmg They wtll be mstalhng outlets & mtemet secunty mcludmg a
locked server room m the bmldmg There are btg changes happenmg and a lot of
upgrades are bemg added to the Center Approx1matelt a quarter of a mllhon dollars m
upgrades. Vtce Cha1r asked 1f 1t was possible to add ancestry com to the computer lab

• Field Trip- Tuesday April 18, 2017: If weather perrntts the field tnp wtll go to temple
square to see the flowers and to the Capttol Bmldmg Another field tnp ts bemg palnned
to vtstt Prommtory Summitt and The Spiral Jetty
Weber Human Services Report: Paula Pnce was not present for an update
New Business: This was the last day for the AARP to do taxes They have had three volunteers
every Wednesday smce February domg our member's taxes Golden Hours donated paper and
lab time
Old Business: Carol Hartmann mqmrcd about the patio GHS told the group that we arc wattmg
for the proJect to gettmg on CIP whtch wtll be thts fall for the budget process Staff ts also
workmg wtth the Golden Hours Foundation to sohc1t fundmg and wtll schedule a meetmg once
some of our members return

Call to Order:

Acceptance of Minutes:
Minutes from the March 8, 2017 were accepted as written with Vice Chair motioning to accept the minutes Member Chris
Stegen seconded and all voted in favor
New Member Approval and Re-Instatement with the City Council: Joanne Larsen and other members who are up for re-
instatements will on the City Council agenda for April 18th
Updates and Events:
Update on Golden Hours Parking Lot: 155 thousand dollars from the CIP to redo the parking lot and adding to the lighting
City Engineer, Jonathan Knight, came up with the design change to LED lighting and to prevent puddling The Red Cross will be
coming to turning this building and the Marshall White Center being converted to emergency shelters A pig tail will be installed for a
generator to be used to run building This will be a separate project but doing it together The pig tail will be 15-20 thousand dollars
Blinds have been ordered for the gym and computer lab The pnce of these were about $800 Next budget year we will look-at
changing the blinds in the Social Hall. IT Will be rewiring and upgrading They will be installing outlets & mtemet security including a
locked server room in the building There are big changes happening and a lot of upgrades are being added to the Center
Approximatelt a quarter of a million dollars in upgrades. Vice Chair asked if it was possible to add ancestry corn to the computer lab
