a Stroll was well attended even though tt ramed most of the day
b Weber Center d1d not have many attendees, but Btgelow Grand Opemng, Monarch
Groundbreakmg, and WSU's ClVlhty Quest was well attended
c Van Sess1ons at the plaza had mus1c and art by Todd 0 and Joel K
d We are lookmg forward to warmer months for the stroll

a Kase has stepped down from the Commtttee due to ttme constramts so we no longer have
a Standard Exammer contact Scott has ematled the Standard's publisher, and Ten will
look mto other options for publicatiOn
b Shane IS checkmg on Vtsit Ogden's blog page to see If they are bemg published there
They are reformattmg the way they do blogs as people don't read articles anymore
c We wtll hold off on wntmg articles until this IS resolved
d Possible new avenue could be the Nme Ralls Creative Distnct website Ctty Weekly?
5 Pubhc Art-Lone/Scott
a Pamted Street Crosswalk Artist Call went out last Fnday Please share with your
contacts The call ends on Apnl 20th This IS for the Pilot ProJect on the Creative District
b Lone will resend artist call to the committee
c Scott, Jake, Lone, Sara Meess, and Todd Obendorfer are workmg on a $1,000,000 grant
from the Bloomberg Group to use art and social Issues combmed as public art proJects

d The Committee voted and unammously to approve a match of $300K of pubhc art funds
to be used towards this proJect 1fthe Bloomberg Grant IS awarded to Ogden
6 Arts on the Town- Lone
a Arts on the Town wtll be held Apnl 26th from 6 30-8 30pm m the Lotus Bldg (comer of
Ktesel and 24th) m The 5th Floor event space Free tickets will be available on
Eventbnte
b We wtll have food by Lavender Kitchen, wme, performances by DeJa Mitchell, and
mustc by Ryan Hawthorn with hts daughter Anna
c Thts wtll be open house style, the slldeshow video Will play on a loop for attendees to
watch at any time durmg the event

7 Arts Grants- Lone
a Grant cycle closed, we received 28 applicatiOns
b ApplicatiOns are currently bemg revtewed by the Grant Rev1ew Panel The panel will
meet to dtscuss scores and fundmg recommendatiOns on May 3n1
c The panel's recommendatiOns wtll be presented to the OCAAC m the May meetmg
8 New Committee Members- Lone
a Wes Whitby and Brandt Bosworth will be fimshed with their second terms m July of this
year and will be dearly missed' They both hold At-Large seats
b Kase Johnstun our Literary Seat has stepped down due to ttme constramts
c Please consider new commtttee members to recommend be for the next Commtttee
meetmg Lone w1ll present the collected recommendations to the Committee m the May
meetmg
d Lone wtll send you the blank recommendatiOn form for the new proposed members
9 Annual Report-
a The Arts Advisory Commtttee annual report IS due m June Please wnte your sectiOn by
May 4th and send It to Lone If you hold a particular seat, please focus on that area of the
arts for the past year If you are an at-large member, JUSt wnte about notable events or
happenmgs that you expenenced or want to htghhght to the Ctty Council

a Th1s year's conference will be held on May 101h at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center

a M1ke- Chamber Orchestra's concert was held March 241h at Perry's Egypt1an Theater

b Scott- Current show at the Weber Center will be up unt1l the end of the month, then Mark
Seawell w1ll be mstallmg a photography show for May's FFAS Office EvolutiOn w1ll
have the Pamted Streets proJect for pubhc votmg for May's stroll
c Jake- There IS still some fundmg for the Art&Act10n senes He would hke to do two
more before the end of June If you have an 1dea for a busmess development workshop
