• F1rst Fnday Art Stroll - Update- Lone Buckley
• Overall1t was sa1d that the art stroll was slow and not a lot of people due to the weather
• However, there was a crowd at Cuppa for the band Substandards
• Van SessiOns was at The Monarch agam and had a good turnout
• Mayor Awards m the Arts- Plannmg -Lone Buckley
• Lone gave a breakdown of what was bemg worked on before the awards m November
B1ds for catenng, mv1tat10ns, v1deos for wmners and decorations
• If anyone IS able to help set-up the day of the event please contact her
• Each rec1p1ent will have one table ass1gned to them for the1r guests
• Pub1c Art- Lone Buckley I subcmmmttee
• Lone reported about the last meetmg walk through downtown that subcommittee
members d1d a couple weeks back They estimated that 25 boxes can be wrapped costmg
about $400 each The options were on 25th Street, Wall Street, m front of the Front
Runner, m the Creative D1stnct and a couple on 24th Street
• The budget IS $1 Ok and can be divided between two artists 1f needed Local schools will
be contacted to see how they would like to help m completmg a box

• Lone will create a map of the where the boxes are located so 1t can be dectded on how to
spht the area for the arttst(s)
• Cam mentioned that the photos should be pre-approved and taken out of the archives It
makes 1t easter on the artist to choose the photos for the proJect
• The mam pnonty IS to get the boxes done first, then the art ptece for the Ctty Council on
the thtrd floor, then the Weber State downtown bmldmg
• Lone satd that she IS workmg wtth the Ctty Council and trymg to have funds available
sooner for grantees
• Openmgs on Committee - Lone Buckley
• Ahcta Washmgton has stepped down as the Theater Art seat RecommendatiOns for new
people can be ematled to Lone
• Currently there are 14 people m the Arts Committee and 16 1s needed An at-large
pos1t10n IS also available for recommendatiOns
• Arts Grants - Fmal approval on October 16th - Lone Buckley
• Everyone IS welcome to attend the meetmg to thank council members for thetr support
Grantees were also contacted to attend the meetmg

• Lone has submitted the blogs received from committee members to Mark Saal at the
Standard-Exammer He has not posted anythmg at this time
• It was suggested to contact The Stgnpost, Eden Paper, Salt Lake papers and 15 Bytes for
more pubhcat10ns
• Update from Diversity CommiSSion- Taylor
• They are plannmg an employment fatr to hopefully brmg a dtverse group of people to
work m Ogden
• They are workmg on Arts m Action and you can contact Vtvtana Fehx to co-host and
share events

• Todd- Thts past weekend he helped with the Jane Ktm proJect On Fnday, October 12 IS
the btg talk at Weber State Umvers1ty to learn more about Jane The new book will debut
at the meetmg Snow Days will be startmg up m November, on Saturdays from I 0 am -
noon until March The podcasts are domg great Currently he 1s lookmg for more
mtervtews to set-up for Nme Ralls and has a podcast up with people from Ballet X
• Jess- They ktcked off the Fall Market With a httle over 50 vendors It IS from 9 am -2
p m They have local artists, produce and music for everyone to enJOY This Saturday
from 3-8 p m they are hostmg the Pecuhar Pours at the Umon Station Ftfteen local
brewenes wtll brmg thetr umque flavor of brew along wtth their own spectalttes On
October 27 from 4 - 10 p m they w1ll have Wttches Tea, Zombie Walk and the Monster
Bash Tickets are only needed for Wttches Tea, there are only a few tickets left for th1s
event

• Damelle- Arts 111 Act1on 1s October 18th at the Mam L1b1ary from 6- 8 p m They will
have the Utah Humamt1es Book Fest Podcast for all to enJOY In November she w11l be
the featured art1st at Zucca and she's gettmg mamed on Sunday
• Russ- He IS rece1vmg submiSSions for panels for h1s Ogden Uncon event next year
Everythmg IS commg along and IS workmg on the guest hst still
• Susan- Art & Act1on IS October 18 at the library Next Ensemble will have a Legacy
Senes where they will go to ass1sted livmg homes m the area and do performances If
anyone has any recommendatiOns of where to go please contact her w1th mformat10n On
November 3rd they will perform at Umon Gnll downstairs, for a Veterans Day Concert
All ages welcome however, on November I 0 they will perform for 21 and up at Alleged
• Nestor- They will have a Halloween Half on October 27th startmg at Ogden H1gh and
endmg m R1verdale
• Cam- He thought the Ballet X was awesome He will be gomg to Portland for the
prem1e1e of the Warren Mllle1 mov1e It will play m Ogden from October 23-25th
• Shane- Kerry Myers album drops m one week, she has an amazmg vo1ce She will be at
Van Sess10ns m November at the next stroll along w1th Came and Ryan Hoff
• Scott- On Thursday Jaxson Layton will be speakmg at the Argo House at 6 p m Th1s
Fnday at Weber State Umve1 s1ty, Jane K1m will be speakmg at 6 p m On October 15
Thayer Walker will speak at Zucca at 6 p m Share the events on Facebook and like
Amped, Inc
• Brandon- They have a podcast w1th Next Ensemble Go to ITunes and g1ve five stars to
the Nme Ralls Podcast to get the1r content out mto the world Stop by Gear 30 they are
hangmg up art to sell for art1sts
