In-person and Zoom Meeting Welcome and Call to Order – Deann Armes, Chair Called to order at 8:33am • Approval of September Minutes • Motion to approve – Camille Washington • 2nd motion – Susan Snyder and Todd Oberndorfer • FY 2025 Arts Grants Update – Lorie Buckley • FY 2026 grant cycle application testing is being finalized • Anticipate FY 2026 grant cycle to open November 1 and close December 13 • Public marketing to commence soon • FY 2026 funding budget: $150,000 • Marshall White Center Public Art Update – Lorie Buckley • First draft design meeting to be held October 9 at 10am MT o Will review design and offer artist feedback • Utility Box Art Call Update – Lorie Buckley • Permissions obtained from Rocky Mountain Power • Re-release of art call forthcoming • Reviewed process and timeline for Public Art Subcommittee to review submissions • 2024 Mayor’s Awards in the Arts – Lorie Buckley • Reviewed event, logistics, and timeline • Non-Disclosure Agreement – Lorie Buckley  • On pause as Administration reviews the disclosure’s notarized requirement • Ogden City General Plan Update – Deann Armes • Overviewed growth scenarios presented at last meeting • October 23 – public meeting to collect more feedback on growth scenarios • July 2025 Art Stroll – Lorie Buckley • Event will go on as planned • Outreach will be conducted to Art Stroll locations about interest to participate o Public relations materials will reflect participating locations • Nine Rails Programming Project – Lorie Buckley • Recapped and discussed this initiative, its origin, development process, City Council presentation, as well as future engagement with RDA opportunities for the Nine Rails Creative District • Arts and Culture Master Plan – Deann Armes • Objectives will be reviewed at future meetings. • Sub-Committees: • Executive – Deann Armes o Discussed Nine Rails Programming Project • Ogden CAN – Leon Araujo o Interviews being conducted about Dumke Arts Plaza use • Nine Rails Creative District – Leon Araujo o Recapped October First Friday Arts Stroll activities within the Nine Rails Creative District o October 19th - Brown Bag Lunch Brigade at Peery’s Egyptian Theater. • Public Art – Jake McIntire • Literary – Jan Hamer o Shared upcoming literary events • Arts Grants – Shane Osguthorpe o Recapped FY 2026 grant cycle deadlines • Committee Member Updates • Seeking volunteers for the City’s Holiday Electric Light Parade • Public Questions & Attendance o Rebecca Ory Hernandez, Reide Thompson Adjourn There being no further business to come before the Committee, Committee member Shane Osguthorpe moved the meeting adjourn at 9:56 a.m. Motion was seconded by Committee member Jan Hamer, all voting aye. _______________________________________ April Gruber Ogden City APPROVED: November 12, 2024 NEXT REGULAR OGDEN CITY ARTS COMMITTEE MEETING November 12, 2024 HISTORIC UNION STATION
