1. Welcome.
2. Roll Call.
3. Action Item - approval of minutes from 10/12/22.
a) There was not a quorum so the minutes could not be approved this month.
4. New Business.
a) Current events in the community - Chair
i) The Community Christmas event at Ben Lomond High School will be on December 10 th. The
Commission can table at this event or help volunteer. Please visit this website for more
information: https://www.communitychristmasut.org/
ii) Chair Bernal won her election for the Ogden School Board. Congratulations to Chair
Bernal.
b) Seniors Out and Proud (SOAP) Founder - Deb Hall and Ogden Chapter Lead - Larry Quinn
i) Deb Hall and Larry Quinn gave a presentation on the Seniors Out and Proud
organization and their services (please see recording for full presentation).
c) Pedro Hueramo Rico (They/He/She) Latino Behavioral Health Services

d) Recommendations for City Council Recognitions for February (Black History Month)
i) There isn’t a due date for February nominations yet. Please add your nominations to the
google document. Also, please remember if you nominate someone, please notify them of the
meeting and get a photo from them for their bio.
5. Committee Reports.
a. No committee reports this month.
6. Old Business.
a. Stacy confirmed that Commissioner Lundell will be writing up the Commission’s
recommendations on the Miles Goodyear street renaming that the planning department
requested. The Commission recommends that based on the history of Miles Goodyear, they
don’t support the name change.
7. Comments from Staff.
a. Mara reported that the At Your Service newsletter that is put in the Ogden residents’
monthly utility bill will now also be in Spanish.
8. Comments from Commission Members.
a. No comments from Commission Members.
9. Public comment: This is an opportunity to address the Commission regarding concerns or
ideas on any topic. To be considerate of everyone at this meeting, public comments will need
