at Ben Lomond High School. This was a great event and the Commission enjoyed
connecting with the community.

Station. This is an event that the Commission will be tabling.

i) City Council recognitions for November are due to Meggin on October 26th.
Currently we have three nominations and need one more. Please add your
nomination to the google doc. Also, please remember if you nominate someone,
please notify them of the meeting and get a photo from them for their bio.
5. Committee Reports.
a. No committee reports this month.
6. Old Business.
a. Name change proposal review - Miles Goodyear and Pamona Avenues in West Ogden
i) The Commission discussed the proposed street name changes. They decided
that they didn’t think it was necessary to make these changes since the ballpark
is currently named after Mile Goodyear and there is another street also named
after him. They would like to leave room for other recognitions. They also
thought there might be some questionable history with Miles Goodyear. Kevin
will work on a letter reporting the Commission’s concerns to be sent to the
planning department.
b. Christmas cottage update
i) The Commission made the decision not to do a Christmas Cottage this year due
to time constraints. They will start planning early next year and create an
awesome display for next year.
