Minutes of the meeting of the Natural Resources and Sustainability Stewardship Advisory Committee held Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in-person at the city offices and via electronic web conferencing in accordance with Utah Code 52-4- 202. Lorenzo called the roll. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES • Julez made a motion to approve the June 27th, 2024 meeting minutes. Lena seconded the motion. The meeting minutes were unanimously approved. RATIFY COMMITTEE ELECTION RESULTS • Julez made a motion to ratify the election results. Lena seconded. The motion passed unanimously. UPCOMING EVENTS • The committee discussed logistics for the upcoming Twilight Concert recycling events. • The committee discussed Farmers Market logistics and who would be able to attend. Lena said she could attend. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS • Energy Wise Subcommittee o The subcommittee will be looking at how to simplify the business energy wise resource guide on the Ogden City website. • EV Charging/Parking Subcommittee o The subcommittee is working on a PowerPoint for the planning department to use in their upcoming parking meeting. 1|Page  o There is not a specific date for that meeting yet. • Recycling Subcommittee o Taylor asked when the city would be going back to a weekly pickup schedule. Lorenzo said that with the current provider they’ll stay with the biweekly schedule due to the further distance the recycling has to be hauled. ANNUAL REPORT DEVELOPMENT • Dan asked subcommittee chairs to submit three bullet points before the next committee meeting about their subcommittee work to be used in the annual report. • The annual report will be presented to the city council sometime in the fall, likely September or October. PUBLIC COMMENTS • N/A OPEN DISCUSSION • Julez asked if everyone had access to the shared drive. Lorenzo said he would check who had access. • The committee discussed the Beehive Emissions Reduction Plan, and how that could affect sustainability planning and progress in Ogden City. DELIVERABLES BEFORE THE NEXT MEETING • Ensure all committee members have access to the shared drive– Lorenzo • Send information about upcoming events – Lorenzo • Include link to Beehive Emissions Reduction Plan – Lorenzo o Beehive Emission Reduction Plan - Utah Department of Environmental Quality • Prepare three bullet points about subcommittee work – Subcommittee Chairs ADJOURNMENT • With no further business, Lena made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
