1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Burlingame called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.

Present: 9 - Chair Jim Burlingame, Vice Chair Kathryn Dorgan, Commissioner
Joe Batt, Commissioner Rose Clifthorne, Commissioner Shameka
Gagnier, Commissioner Jace Hoag, Commissioner Kathy Murray,
Commissioner Christie Tran and Commissioner Hathor Vergotis
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.

The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT
Former Commissioner Stacy Hicks wished Commissioners well in their upcoming work.
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Commissioners shared information on past and upcoming arts events.
6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A 22-0558 Arts Commission Spring Retreat
Commissioners engaged in the agenda of the retreat. In reviewing Board and
Commission Roles and Expectations, Rules of Procedure, Robert’s Rules, OPARD
Goals and Policies, they determined to review the Rules of Procedure and Roles and
Expectations annually and to add agenda items to future agendas at the end of each

meeting.
Following the overview of Parks, Arts and Recreation Department and EIB initiative,
Commissioners requested Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Specialist Olivia Salazar de
Breaux return annually to provide update.
Communication emerged as a theme during the Arts Commission Work Plan deep dive,
and Commissioners will return to the topic at the July meeting, in addition to the
Committee Assignments and review of Arts Commission mission statement.
The discussion was completed.
