CALL TO ORDER and ROLL CALL Vice Chair Lock called the meeting to order at 6:18 pm. Present: 5 - Vice Chair Christina Lock, Committee member David Coppley, Committee member Joe Ford, Committee member Kris Fransen and Committee member Greg Wahl Excused: 2 - Committee member Scott Morgan and Committee member Brittany Yunker Others Present: Councilmember Julie Hankins Public Works Transportation Senior Planner Sophie Stimson Public Works Transportation Senior Program Specialist Michelle Swanson Public Works Transportation Program Assistant Heather Reed Parks, Arts & Recreation Parks Maintenance Manager Gary Franks 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3A. 16-0145 Approval of November 18, 2015 Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS Ms. Swanson and Committee members Coppley, Fransen and Ford made announcements. 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6A. 16-0146 Report on Safety on the Olympia Woodland Trail City of Olympia Page 1 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Meeting Minutes February 3, 2016 Committee Mr. Franks briefed the Committee on actions the City's Parks Department is taking to address safety in parks and on the Olympia Woodland Trail. Woodland Trail Greenway Association representative Jim Rainwood shared additional information, and the Committee reviewed a memorandum from Lead Code Enforcement Officer Chris Grabowski. The report was received. 6B. 16-0147 Draft 2016-17 BPAC Work Plan The Draft Work Plan was amended to add the phrase "as time allows" to item 1.b. League of American Bicyclists Gold City Status Review and item 2.e. Low Impact Development Standards. Committee member Coppley moved, seconded by Committee member Ford, to accept the work plan as amended. The motion passed unanimously. 6C. 16-0148 Transportation Working Group Representative Committee member Wahl moved, seconded by Committee member Coppley, to nominate Christina Lock to serve as a member of the Transportation Working Group. The motion passed unanimously. 6D. 16-0150 Chair and Possibly Vice Chair Elections The Committee unanimously elected Christina Lock to serve as Chair and David Coppley to serve as Vice Chair. 7. HOUSEKEEPING 7A. 16-0151 Housekeeping: Quick Reference Work Plan The report was received. 8. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m. City of Olympia Page 2
