ROLL CALL Present: 7 - Mayor Cheryl Selby, Mayor Pro Tem Nathaniel Jones, Councilmember Jessica Bateman, Councilmember Jim Cooper, Councilmember Clark Gilman, Councilmember Julie Hankins and Councilmember Jeannine Roe 2. BUSINESS ITEM 2.A 17-0625 Review Results of a Citizen Survey Concerning Public Safety and Affordable Housing Needs H. Stuart Elway introduced himself and gave some background on the survey. Mr. Elway noted the survey closed Friday, so the results are still in draft form. The full report will be to the Council within one week with the crosstabs and further analysis. The survey ran from May 16 - June 2. The survey represents 636 interviews with Olympia residents. The margin of error is plus/minus 4%. The survey was conducted in mixed mode: landline, cell phone and online. Mr. Elway highlighted the profile of the respondents which included age distribution, children in the household, areas of the City and more. He reviewed the survey questions and responses. Councilmembers asked clarifying questions. The study session was completed. 3. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m. City of Olympia Page 1
