BUSINESS ITEM 2.A 17-0946 Missing Middle Housing Analysis Update Deputy Director Leonard Bauer introduced the topic and noted the Missing Middle Work Group has two more meetings to refine recommendations that will go to the Planning Commission and ultimately to the City Council. Missing Middle housing is a range of multi-unit or clustered housing types that are compatible with single family homes. He discussed why Missing Middle Housing is needed. Mr. Bauer reported data regarding Olympia households. He noted types of housing that fall into the category of Missing Middle Housing and current locations that have Missing Middle Housing. He reviewed issues associated with Missing Middle Housing that the work group has identified along with next steps. Councilmembers asked clarifying questions. The study session was completed. 3.
