BUSINESS ITEM 2.A 19-0101 Joint Meeting of Elected Officials from City of Olympia, Port of Olympia and LOTT Clean Water Alliance on Sea Level Rise Response Planning President McGregor called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. President McGregor welcomed attendees and explained the purpose of the joint meeting and noted public comment could be provided on comment cards and through the City of Olympia’s sea level rise webpage. He introduced the Port's new Executive Director Sam Gibboney and asked everyone to introduce themselves. Mr. Haub reviewed the agenda, meeting materials and introduced everyone involved in the sea level rise planning project. He presented project background information and the City of Olympia Page 1 City Council Meeting Minutes January 30, 2019 project’s goal statement. AECOM Technical Services Coastal Engineer Justin Vandever, gave an overview of the sea level rise planning process and the draft Sea Level Rise Response Plan. He reviewed the Plan’s governance, informational strategies, and monitoring approach. Mr. Haub provided a high level overview of the public comments received and potential 2019 work tasks. Mr. Hall stressed the importance of having the groups work together, and continued discussion is necessary to continue to move the project forward. Councilmembers, LOTT Clean Water Alliance Boardmembers and Port of Olympia Commissioners asked clarifying questions and provided comment. The discussion was completed. 3.
