OTHER BUSINESS 2.A 23-0205 Request for Proposals Process for City Owned Property at 108 State Avenue NE Briefing and Discussion Economic Development Director Mike Reid shared an overview of the building at 108 State Avenue. He discussed the steps that have already been taken on the project so far, including identifying the Request for Proposal development and review team, the collection of the due diligence package and the development of a project timeline. Mr. Reid reviewed areas where City Council consensus was previously expressed based on a Study Session that occurred on November 9, 2021. He shared the project vision statement: "An active historic building that increases foot traffic and creates a lasting and unique destination in our downtown core." He also shared several criteria and submittal requirements for review. Councilmembers asked clarifying questions. The study session was completed. 2.B 23-0063 Expansion of Aquatic Feasibility Study to include the Olympia Center, Senior Center, and the Police Department Westside Sub-station Parks, Arts and Recreation Director Paul Simmons discussed the recommendation to expand the Aquatic Feasibility Study to include the Olympia Center, Senior Center, and the Police Department Westside Sub-station, including an analysis and Master Plan that includes siting these facilities at the Olympia School District-Harrison Parcel.
