1. ROLL CALL
Present: 4 - Mayor Pro Tem Yến Huỳnh, Councilmember Dani Madrone,
Councilmember Lisa Parshley and Councilmember Robert Vanderpool
Excused: 3 - Mayor Dontae Payne, Councilmember Jim Cooper and
Councilmember Clark Gilman
2. BUSINESS ITEM
2.A 24-0384 Joint Meeting with the Olympia School District Board
School Board President Hillary Seidel shared an update regarding the Safe Routes to
Schools Program.
Housing and Homeless Response Director Darian Lightfoot presented an update on City
actions related to affordable housing. Councilmembers and School Boardmembers
discussed potential partnerships related to property.
Interim Community Planning & Development Director Tim Smith shared an overview of
the Comprehensive Plan update.
Assistant to the City Manager Susan Grisham shared an update on the implementation of
a City of Olympia Youth Council.
Councilmembers and Boardmembers discussed the topics and asked clarifying
questions throughout the meeting.
The discussion was completed.
3. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 9:17 p.m.
