1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Huỳnh called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 3 - Chair Yến Huỳnh, Committee member Dontae Payne and Committee
member Cheryl Selby
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.

5.A 23-0298 Approval of March 22, 2023 Community Livability and Public Safety
Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
6. COMMITTEE BUSINESS
6.A 23-0342 Approval of Heritage Awards Nomination Recommendations
Historic Preservation Officer Holly Borth and Heritage Commission Vice-Chair Garner
Miller presented Heritage Award nominations.
The Committee asked clarifying questions.
Committee member Selby moved, seconded by Committee member Payne, to
recommend the Olympia Heritage Award nominations and forward to the City
Council for consideration. The motion carried by the following vote:

6.B 23-0346 Approval of Community Development Block Grant Program Year 2023
Annual Action Plan Recommended Allocations
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Specialist Anastasia Everett
presented the CDBG Program Year 2023 Annual Action Plan allocations.
The Committee asked clarifying questions.
Committee member Payne moved, seconded by Committee member Selby, to
recommend and forward to the full City Council for approval staff
recommendations for allocation of new Community Development Block Grant
Funds for Program Year 2023. The motion carried by the following vote:

6.C 23-0380 Review of Advisory Committee Procedures and Expectations
Strategic Communications Director Kellie Purce Braseth presented the proposed and
ongoing review and update of the advisory committee Roles and Expectations and Rules
and Procedure documents and the proposal of creating an advisory committee
guidebook.
The Committee discussed and asked clarifying questions.
The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS AND UPDATES
Chair Huỳnh provided a brief update on the establishment of the Cultural Access
Program Advisory Committee process and timeline.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Huỳnh adjourned the meeting at 6:34 p.m.
