1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Huỳnh called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: 3 - Chair Yến Huỳnh, Committee member Dontae Payne and Committee
member Cheryl Selby
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT
The following people spoke: Debra Martinelli, Jack Benjamin and David Donley.

5.A 23-0596 Approval of the June 28, 2023 Community Livability and Public Safety
Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
6. COMMITTEE BUSINESS
6.A 23-0651 Olympia Sister City Program Update
Assistant to the City Manager Susan Grisham presented an update on the Olympia
Sister City Program. The Committee asked clarifying questions.
The information was received.
6.B 23-0554 Property Crime Update
Police Chief Rich Allen and Lieutenant Paul Frailey presented a property crime update.
The Committee asked clarifying questions.

6.C 23-0646 Cultural Access Advisory Board Recommendations
Cultural Access Program Manager Marygrace Goddu, Program Specialist Amelia
Layton and Cultural Access Advisory Boardmember Justin McKaughan presented the
Cultural Access Advisory Board's recommendations for the implementation of the Inspire
Olympia program.
Committee member Selby moved, seconded by Committee member Payne, to
approve the Board's plan for implementation of the Inspire Olympia program
and recommend final approval by the City Council. The motion carried by the
following vote:
Aye: 3 - Chair Huỳnh, Committee member Payne and Committee member
Selby
6.D 23-0655 City of Olympia Equity Assessment Update
Senior Human Resources Analyst Keli Drake provided an update on the City of Olympia
Equity Assessment. The Committee asked clarifying questions.
The report was received.
7. REPORTS AND UPDATES
Assistant City Manager Debbie Sullivan and the Committee discussed possible agenda
topics and timing for upcoming Community Livability and Public Safety Committee
meetings through the end of 2023.
8. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Huỳnh adjourned the meeting at 8:15 p.m.
