CALL TO ORDER Chair Yến Huỳnh called the meeting to order at: 5:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present: 3 - Chair Yến Huỳnh, Committee member Clark Gilman and Committee member Dontae Payne 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 5.A 25-0102 Approval of January 29, 2025 Community Livability and Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved. 6. COMMITTEE BUSINESS 6.A 25-0169 Approval of a Recommended Draft Ordinance Relating to Recommendations Approved by the City Council for a Community Policing Board Assistant City Manager Stacey Ray presented the recommended draft ordinance relating to recommendations approved by the City Council for a Community Policing Board. The Committee discussed and asked clarifying questions. Councilmember Gilman moved, seconded by Councilmemeber Payne, to recommend approval of the draft ordinance relating to City Council approved recommendations from the Social Justice and Equity Commission for a Community Policing Board and direct staff to forward to the full City Council City of Olympia Page 1 Community Livability and Public Meeting Minutes February 26, 2025 Safety Committee for adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3 - Chair Huỳnh, Committee member Gilman and Committee member Payne 6.B 25-0178 Approval of the Proposed 2025 Youth Council Work Plan Assistant to the City Manager Susan Grisham presented the proposed 2025 Youth Council work plan. The Committee discussed and asked clarifying questions. Councilmember Payne moved, seconded by Councilmember Gilman, to recommend approval of the proposed 2025 Youth Council Work Plan and forward to City Council for consideration and action.The motion carried with the following vote: Aye: 3 - Chair Huỳnh, Committee member Gilman and Committee member Payne 6.C 25-0168 Discussion of Advisory Committee Applications and Interviews Strategic Communications Director Kellie Purce Braseth led the discussion on the 2025 advisory body applications and interviews. The Committee discussed and asked clarifying questions. The Committee directed staff to arrange virtual interviews for March 10 and March 12, 2025. The discussion was completed. 7.
