CALL TO ORDER Chair Carver called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. ROLL CALL Present: 8 - Chair Thomas Carver, Vice Chair Jane Laclergue, Boardmember Jami Heinricher, Boardmember Angela Rush, Boardmember Duane Edwards, Boardmember Robert Findlay, Boardmember Joseph S LaValle, and Boardmember Darrell Hoppe Excused: 1 - Boardmember David Goularte 2. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 3. BUSINESS ITEMS 3.A Follow-up Discussion Pertaining to the Design Review 'Award of Merit' The Design Review Board (DRB) members discussed 11 candidate projects to be considered for an Award of Merit. Three projects, with distinct specialties, were chosen for awards of 1) overall excellence, 2) excellent example of residential and private development, and 3) exemplary historic preservation. Three projects made a short list. Criteria for awards included, but were not limited to, projects that had been developed/constructed, and those projects that had been developed since the last round of awards -- 2011. Staff indicated it might be difficult to get on the City Council's agenda before the end of 2014. Chair Carver indicated he and other interested Boardmembers would work with staff to develop and present the awards (in some form such as a plaque, certificate or other tangible option). 4.
