CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:42 p.m. Pat McLain, a Heritage Commissioner who is not a current member of the Heritage Review Committee, attended the meeting as well. Present: 8 - Chair Holly Davies, Vice Chair Dwayne Harkness, Commissioner Luke Howard, Commissioner Patricia McLain, Commissioner Garner Miller, Commissioner Rachel Newmann, Commissioner Mark Rentfrow, and Commissioner Nicholas Vann 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved by consensus. It was recommended that this line be removed from future Heritage Review Committee agendas. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 3.A 14-1019 Approval of August 25, 2014, October 6, 2014 and October 13, 2014 Heritage Review Committee (Olympia Heritage Commission) Meeting Minutes The minutes were approved as amended by consensus. 4. BUSINESS ITEMS 4.A 14-1020 Discussion of Administration and Process Practices for Heritage Review Committee Meetings The Heritage Review Committee discussed making a few procedural changes: 1) Meeting minutes will be reviewed and approved at regular meetings of the Heritage Commission as a business item rather than at on-site meetings. 2) At meetings, motions when required should include reference to the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Standards when possible. 3) Commissioners Miller and Vann will begin drafting a preservation brief on how the Committee will review proposals for window replacements.
