1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kelly called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.

Commissioner Heather Walker

City of Olympia Community Planning and Development Staff:

2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.
3. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mr. Bauer addressed the on-going recruitment of an Associate Planner to carry out
historic preservation officer duties.
4. BUSINESS ITEMS
4.A 18-1079 Consideration of Communication with City Council Regarding Potential
Acquisition of Property at 112 and 116 4th Avenue West (Preliminary
draft letter will be presented at the meeting)
Mr. Hall and Ms. Rollins discussed the potential property purchase on 4th Avenue. The

Commission had concerns regarding the cultural heritage of the site and economic
development. The Commission is requesting improved communication and transparency
with City Council. The Commission discussed a draft letter to the City Council to convey
this request.
The discussion was completed.

A letter addressed to Judy Bardin from Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer Greg
Griffith was handed out.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
