CALL TO ORDER Chair Miller called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Commissioner Holly Davies, Commissioner Benjamin Helle, Commissioner Garner Miller and Commissioner Rachel Newmann OTHERS PRESENT Historic Preservation Officer Marygrace Goddu 2. BUSINESS ITEMS 2.A 19-0373 Building Permit Application Review (Project #19-1254) 2417 Capitol Way South The Committee reviewed and discussed the proposed alterations and concluded that the applicable standards (Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties, numbers 1 through 6; 9 and 10) are met in all regards. The new front steps will match the existing concrete foundation, and the dimensions and materials proposed for the porch enclosure addition to the side of the home will replicate originals. The recommendation was completed. 2.B 19-0376 Informational Guidance for Possible Residential Remodel at East 311 21st Street SE The home is a non-contributing property due to lack of historic integrity; however, it does retain much of its original form and material with the exception of original windows. The proposed shed dormer addition on the south side will match what already exists on the west side of the home and if placement, size, and materials match those used on the west side, this addition will not further detract from the home’s historic value.
