1 CALL TO ORDER
Chair Davies called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.

3.A 22-0093 Approval of October 27, 2021 Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
3.B 22-0094 Approval of December 8, 2021 Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chair Davies opened the first meeting of the year with a Land Acknowledgement to the
Native American Tribes of the Olympia area lands and waters.

6.A 22-0090 Guidance on Solar Installations
Chair Davies provided a draft revised guidance on Solar Installations handout.
Commissioner Swalling moved, seconded by Commissioner Scott, to approve
the revised Guidelines for Solar Installations. The motion passed
unanimously.
6.B 22-0091 Heritage Commission 2022 Work Plan
Chair Davies provided copies of the 2022 amended work plan, Strategy on a Page, and
Long-Range planning calendar. The one-page strategy (SOAP or Strategy on a Page)
was discussed, Committee assignments and the draft work plan was reviewed.
The discussion was completed.

Staff Report
Ms. Goddu reported the General Government Committee is now the Community Livability
and Public Safety Committee (CLPS).
On February 26, 2022, there will be a dedication event for the new Howard Point Historic
Marker at 1 p.m. at the Bigelow House.
Ms. Goddu shared multi-development projects in Downtown.

The February 23, 2022 meeting agenda will include HP Award Nominations, 2022 Work
Plan development, election of officers and review the Washington National Maritime
