1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Davies called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The special tax valuation item was moved to be after Heritage Review Committee
nominations.
The agenda was approved as amended.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
23-0832 Approval of Heritage Commission August 23, 2023 Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ms. Goddu shared information about recruitment for Boards and Commissions beginning
in October. The following OHC seats are expiring unless members express a desire to
continue for another three year term: Davies, Hull, House and Glenn.

She also shared that, following an internal review by a staff committee, stipends will be
offered to subcommittees whose meetings are publicly noticed with recorded minutes.
This change will include the Heritage Review Committee. The effective date of this
change has not been announced.

23-0828 Update on Creative District and Inspire Olympia
Ms. Goddu presented.
The information was provided.
23-0829 Planning for October Commission Retreat
The discussion was completed.
23-0830 Discuss Indie Music History Project report
The discussion was completed.
7. REPORTS
Policy and Guidance hast not met.
The Heritage Review Committee has a special tax valuation visit at Chaplin House.
Marketing and Outreach has not held formal meetings.
Survey & Designation has not met.
