1. ROLL CALL
Present: 7 - President Jim Cooper, Vice President Jeannine Roe, Boardmember
Jessica Bateman, Boardmember Clark Gilman, Boardmember Julie
Hankins, Boardmember Nathaniel Jones, and Boardmember Cheryl
Selby
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT
Karen Messmer spoke.
4. BOARD BUSINESS
4.A 16-0242 Election of Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) Officers
Boardmember Roe moved, seconded by Boardmember Bateman, to
nominate Boardmember Cooper as president. The motion passed
unanimously.
Boardmember Gilman moved, seconded by Boardmember Jones, to
nominate Boardmember Roe as Vice President. The motion passed
unanimously.
4.B 16-0227 Resolution to Adopt the Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD)
Charter and Bylaws
The resolution was approved.
4.C 16-0255 Resolution to Designate the City’s Administrative Services Director
as OMPD Treasurer
The resolution was approved.
4.D 16-0253 Resolution to Approve an Interlocal Agreement between the City of
Olympia and the Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD)
The resolution and agreement were approved.

Recreation Plan as the Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD)

4.G 16-0256 Resolution to Authorize Purchase of Liability Coverage
The resolution was approved.
4.H 16-0258 Resolution to Authorize Joint Legal Representation and allow the
OMPD President to Sign an Informed Consent
The resolution was approved.
5. REPORTS
President Cooper requested a referral to the Olympia City Council to recommend
process and scope for OMPD Advisory Committee selection. The Board agreed to
the referral.
6. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6:02 p.m.
