ROLL CALL Boardmember Jones arrived at 5:32 p.m. Present: 6 - President Jim Cooper, Vice President Jeannine Roe, Boardmember Clark Gilman, Boardmember Julie Hankins, Boardmember Nathaniel Jones, and Boardmember Cheryl Selby Excused: 1 - Boardmember Jessica Bateman 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 4. BOARD BUSINESS 4.A 16-1202 Approval of Resolution Setting the Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) Ad Valorem Tax OMPD Treasurer Jane Kirkemo provided a brief summary of the proposed ad valorem tax. Boardmember Selby moved, seconded by Boardmember Gilman, to approve the ad valorem tax and authorize Boardmembers to sign the resolution. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5 - President Cooper, Vice President Roe, Boardmember Gilman, Boardmember Hankins and Boardmember Selby Excused: 2 - Boardmember Bateman and Boardmember Jones 4.B 16-1203 Approval of Resolution Adopting the 2017 Olympia Metropolitan Park District (OMPD) Budget Parks, Arts & Recreation Director Paul Simmons provided a brief summary of the proposed 2017 budget. Vice President Roe moved, seconded by Boardmember Selby, to approve the 2016 budget and authorize the Board President to sign the resolution. REPORTS President Cooper noted the next OMPD meeting will be April 11, 2017. At that meeting the General Government Committee will bring citizen recommendations for appointment to the OMPD advisory committee. 6.
