1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Present: 6 - Chair Maria Ruth, Vice Chair Joshua Clark, Committee member
Barbara Benson, Committee member Candace Jacobs, Committee
member Brock Milliern and Committee member Rhonda Olnick
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.

4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
- PARC Foundation's Puddle Jump event is scheduled for November 4 at 9 a.m.
- West Bay Park Restoration and Master Plan public meeting will be held on November
15, 6:00 p.m. at The Olympia Center.
- Isthmus Interim Park improvements and the Woodruff Sprayground project are in design
and will be constructed in the Spring of 2018.
- Applications for City advisory boards will be accepted beginning November 1.
- Parks Maintenance ManagerGary Franks updated the Committee on maintenance
projects that have recently been completed.
6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A Annual Park Evaluations by PRAC Members
Committee members each presented an overview of the park surveys they completed

over the summer. Parks surveyed this year were LBA, Woodruff, Kettle View, Yauger,
Priest Point Park and Percival Landing.
The report was received.
7. REPORTS
A. North Capitol Campus Heritage Park Development Assoc. - None
B. Artesian Leadership Committee - None
C. Olympia Metropolitan Parks Advisory Committee - None
D. Technical Work Group for Downtown Design Guidelines - Discussion has focused on
protecting viewsheds in the Downtown.
8. QUESTIONS OF STAFF OR ITEMS FOR NEXT AGENDA
December's agenda will include discussion on the 2018 work plan.
9. ADJOURNMENT

4. PUBLIC COMMENT
During this portion of the meeting, citizens may address the Advisory Committee or Commission
regarding items related to City business, including items on the Agenda. In order for the Committee or
Commission to maintain impartiality and the appearance of fairness in upcoming matters and to comply
with Public Disclosure Law for political campaigns, speakers will not be permitted to make public
