5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Two online surveys are open to gather feedback on the Friendly Grove playground
designs and the LBA Woods Trail Improvements project. Orca Recovery Day event will

6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A 19-0936 LBA Woods Trail Improvements Public Input Briefing
Associate Planner Sarah Giannobile reviewed feedback received from the online survey.
Committee members asked clarifying questions.
The information was received.
6.B 19-0923 Tour of Priest Point Park Maintenance Facility
Parks Operations and Maintenance Manager Sylvana Niehuser provided a tour of the
maintenance facility.
The information was received.
6.C 19-0921 Volunteers in Parks
Parks Stewardship Supervisor Amy Stull presented an overview of the Park Stewardship
Program including the Volunteers in Parks and Environmental Education programs.
Members asked clarifying questions.
The information was received.
6.D 19-0826 2020-2025 Capital Facilities Plan and Capital Asset Management Plan
(CAMP)
Motion was made to recommend for approval the draft 2020-2025 Preliminary
Capital Facilities Plan as proposed. Motion passed unanimously.
6.E 19-0922 Annual 2019 Park Evaluation Surveys
Members reported on park evaluation surveys. Parks surveyed were Grass Lake Nature
Park, Karen Fraser Woodland Trail, and LBA Park and Woods. Ms. Niehuser will report
back to the Committee in early 2020 on any items maintenance staff was able to improve
based on the surveys.
The report was received.
7. REPORTS
A. North Capitol Campus Heritage Park Development Assoc. - No report.
B. Olympia Metropolitan Parks District (OMPD) Advisory Board - Committee member
Hruska reported the Committee reviewed the 2020 OMPD budget and drafted a
recommendation letter.
