CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 2:30 p.m. 1.A ROLL CALL Present: 3 - Boardmember Alana Carr, Boardmember Nathan Rocker and Boardmember Jeffrey Trinin CITY STAFF PRESENT Stephanie Johnson, Parks Darren Nienaber, Deputy City Attorney Lt. Sam Costello, Olympia Police. Sgt. Bryan Wyllie, Olympia Police Anna Schlecht, Community Planning and Development Mark Rentfrow, Staff Liaison 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - None 4. PUBLIC COMMENT - None 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS - None 6. BUSINESS ITEMS 6.A 17-0338 Discussion of Collective Visons Mural RFP Mr. Rentfrow provided an update of the Collective Visions Mural Request for Proposals (RFP): · Next steps of the project were discussed with Mr. Nienaber and Ms. Johnson. · Ms. Carr and Ms. Johnson will issue a new RFP. City of Olympia Page 1 PBIA Advisory Board Meeting Minutes March 28, 2017 · Ms. Johnson will facilitate the Collective Visions Mural Program. · Ms. Schlecht from Volunteers in Paint (VIP) discussed the VIP Program including the purchase of a Vandal Guard for the Artesian Well mural area. · The VIP Program will be purchasing scaffolding which may be available on loan for future mural repairs and painting. · The Downtown Mural Map will be available for Arts Walk. The discussion was completed. 6.B 17-0339 Discussion About Returning PBIA Sponsored Cigarette Butt Collectors to Service Mr. Rentfrow reported new locks installed on the PBIA sponsored cigarette butt collectors. The collectors will be installed and ready for Arts Walk. The discussion was completed. 6.C 17-0340 Downtown Art Bench Discussion and Update The discussion was postponed. 7. OTHER TOPICS City of Olympia Police Officers Lt. Sam Costello and Sgt. Bryan Wyllie discussed several topics with the Committee: social media opportunities, nuisance crime reporting, and street dependency issues. 8. AGENDA TOPICS FOR NEXT MEETING - Neighboring businesses of the Artesian Commons survey 9. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned. City of Olympia Page 2
