Special Meeting of the Marketing Committee
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Dean called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

7.A 17-0978 Marketing Initiatives in 2017 and 2018

PBIA Advisory Board Meeting Minutes September 26, 2017
The primary topic of conversation for the Committee's meeting is the planning of
Twinklefest and the allotment of Committee funds toward advertising. Three advertising
pieces will need to be created.
- Standard PBIA Holiday message for publications (multiple sizing options required).
- Specialty ad created for The Stranger highlighting last year's Twinklefest winner.
- Radio script for audio ads.
A budget was constructed for the cost of each offering and a matrix created to evaluate
them.
Additional items included a discusison regarding content creation and distribution of
PBIA Twinklefest advertising as well as an additional theater advertising pitch brought
forth by Committee Member Henley on hehalf of OFS.
No decisions were made about hiring a creative consultant to create ad work or which
projects or ads to fund.
The report was received.

5. PUBLIC COMMENT
During this portion of the meeting, citizens may address the Advisory Committee or Commission
regarding items related to City business, including items on the Agenda. In order for the Committee or
Commission to maintain impartiality and the appearance of fairness in upcoming matters and to comply
with Public Disclosure Law for political campaigns, speakers will not be permitted to make public
comments before the Committee or Commission in these two areas: (1) on agenda items for which the
Committee or Commission either held a Public Hearing in the last 45 days, or will hold a Public Hearing
