1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Hammond called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m.

Present: 8 - Chair Melissa Hammond, Boardmember Heather Chambers,
Boardmember Alden Davis, Boardmember Anne Gavzer,
Boardmember Sophia Landis, Boardmember David Rauh,
Boardmember Shannon Tiegs and Janis Dean

3.A 22-0331 Approval of March 2nd, 2022 PBIA Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.

Boardmember Davis introduced himself.

Ms. Buckler announced the pilot program to expand the Downtown Ambassador program
has ended. The program is returning to a 2-person team. They will operate
Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The Walking Patrol will perform morning
wake-ups. Also, the City will temporarily add a Familiar Faces position dedicated to
Downtown that can be called upon by the Ambassadors to assist with individuals who
require more time.
6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A 22-0316 Discussion and Feedback about Lakefair
Mr. Sharp provided a powerpoint presentation.
Boardmembers Gavzer and Dean agreed to meet with Mr. Sharp and Mr. Ringerling to
further discuss an opportunity for downtown businesses to have a retail booth at Lakefair.
The discussion was completed.
6.B 22-0334 Discussion of Downtown Ratepayer Survey
Chair Hammond and Ms. Buckler provided information.
The Board provided feedback on survey questions, and staff will send a draft survey to
the board for review prior to its release, and provide the results with any questions for
Sergeant Parker to her before the May PBIA meeting.
The discussion was completed.
6.C 22-0333 Downtown Recovery Fund Mural Project
Chair Hammond and Ms. Buckler provided information.
The Board appointed Boardmembers David, Rauh, and Gavzer to be on the voting
committee with the Arts Alliance to choose the artist. Additional Boardmembers would
like to be included to attend the selection process.
Boardmember Gavzer moved, seconded by Boardmember Landis, to approve
$1,650 of contingency funds to pay Arts Alliance to administer the Downtown
Economic Recovery Mural program. The motion passed unanimously.

Chair Hammond and Ms. Buckler provided information.
The report was received.

8.A 22-0332 Round Table Discussion
Boardmember Gavzer announced Lark is planning a Thursday night promotions and will
be reaching out to other businesses to see if they want to join.
The discussion was completed.
