Chair Hammond called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m.

3.A 22-0735 Approval of July 6, 2022 PBIA Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes
The minutes were approved.

5. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mr. DeJarnatt announced Amy Buckler would continue as PBIA Staff Liaison beginning in
September.

6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A 22-0732 Vote to Fill Board Vacancy
Boardmember Landis moved, seconded by Boardmember David, to appoint
Kyle Radanovic as a Boardmember with term expiring December 31, 2022.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 8 - Chair Hammond, Vice Chair David, Boardmember Chambers,
Boardmember Landis, Boardmember Ossa, Boardmember Rauh,
Boardmember Stormshak and Vulva
Absent: 2 - Boardmember Dean and Boardmember Tiegs
Abstained: 2 - Boardmember Davis and Boardmember Gavzer
6.B 22-0736 Twinklefest and 4th Quarter Marketing
Mr. DeJarnatt, Ms. Buckler and Ms. Trahan provided a presentation and asked the Board
to brainstorm goals and ideas for 4th quarter marketing. The Board expressed interest in
a Maker's Night Market. Staff emphasized the need for contracting with a partner and
Chair Hammond, Boardmember Landis and Boardmember Ossa will reach out to
potential partners, including the Downtown Alliance, Lamplighters, and Eat Drink See
Oly.
The discussion was completed.
6.C 22-0731 Drafting the 2023 Budget
Mr. DeJarnatt presented the 2023 budget schedule. Due to a large reserve of
unallocated funds, the Board should plan on budgeting $150,000 for the 2023 year. The
discussion will continue at the September 7 meeting, where they will complete their first
draft.
The discussion was completed.
6.D 22-0737 Discussion of Quarterly Survey
Ms. Buckler presented options for the quarterly rate payer survey, suggesting questions
aligning with the Olympia Strong economic resiliency plan work. The Board was
interested in more quantifiable data and asked that she return with less open-ended
answers framed in a multiple-choice format.
The discussion was completed.
