Special Meeting
1. CALL TO ORDER
Co-Chair Bassalé called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

Present: 10 - Co-Chair Jessicarae Nunez, Co-Chair Parfait Bassale, Commissioner
Genevieve Chan, Commissioner Sarah Lloyd, Commissioner Rachelle
Martin, Commissioner Fauziya Mohamedali, Commissioner Wesley
Nguyen, Commissioner Marianne Ozmun-Wells, Commissioner Omar
Santana-Gomez and Commissioner Larry Watkinson
2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
The agenda was approved.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - None

6. BUSINESS ITEMS
6.A 22-0835 Social Justice and Equity Commission Retreat
Commissioners gave introductions, discussed roles and responsibilities, and began a
discussion about group commitments.
The discussion was completed.
Commissioners discussed Chair nominations and elections of new Co-Chairs.
Commissioner Ozmun-Wells nominated Commissioner Chan; Commissioner Santana
nominated commissioner Lloyd as Co-Chairs.
Commissioner Ozmun-Wells moved, seconded by Commissioner Nuñez, to
elect Commissioners Chan and Lloyd as Co-Chairs. The motion carried by
unanimous vote.

Commissioner Santana-Gomez and Commissioner Watkinson
The Commission discussed and finalized their work plan.
Commissioner Watkinson moved, seconded by Commissioner Bassalé, to
proceed with the work plan as presented, with the idea that it can be modified
and tweaked. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
