Ad Hoc Public Arts Committee Meeting Minutes 03/29/2023 5:00PM 1. Call to order. 1) Michelle Marx 5:09 2. Public Appearances and Communication (Items are for Discussion and Possible Action). 5. Business (Items are for discussion and / or potential action). 1) New Business a) Randy reporting on tourism grant and size of Encore Sculpture. b) Discussion of which parks should be selected for placement of public art. 1. Park Board approved 2. Submission to Village board pending c) Review artist applications for utility boxes. 1. 4 artists, 7 prints to be submitted to Village board d) Discuss Committee photo for advertising purposes on village website and Oregon Observer. 2) Unfinished Business a) Public Art Fair – June 10, 2023 1. Artist application review. a. Judging will happen 4/7 @ 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM 2. Review food vendors – Ziggy’s, Rib Masters a. Randy Check with Firefly b. Mary Check with VFW, Optimists Club, Buckys Rentals c. Michelle Check with Lions Club d. Desere Check with FFA for Volunteers and Food, Volunteer T- Shirt Printing 3. Review layout of Art Fair – aisle measurements, artist space, ingress/egress, shelter dimensions, etc. a. Measurements to take place 3/30 @ 4:30PM b) Review sculptures that have been chosen for the Sculpture Tour. 1. Were artists and Eau Claire notified? c) Report on pedestals. Approved 04/07/2023  6.
