Ad Hoc Public Arts Committee Minutes 5/1/23 1) Call to order. a) 5:05 PM Michelle 2) Roll call. a) Members Present: Lincoln Cruz, Doris Deits, Randy Glysch ,Marilea Groves, Michelle Marx, Desere Mayo, and Jason Mahnke. b) Members Absent: None 3) Approval of March 29, 2023 meeting minutes. a) Motioned by Desere Mayo b) Seconded by Marilea Groves c) Vote: Unanimous 4) Public Appearances and Communication (Items are for Discussion and Possible Action). 5) Business (Items are for discussion and / or potential action). a) New Business 1. Review Booth Map with Booth Assignments-28. Miscellaneous-Art Cart, Face Painters, Oregon Historical Society, anything else. i. Currently 24 confirmed artists. ii. Class of 2024 selling donuts and coffee iii. Lions Club selling brats and water iv. Rib Masters for v. Ziggies with fair food 2. Discuss who will get the laminated booth numbers and the budget. i. Michelle and Jason 3. Discuss the type of posts and the markings for the booths. Review the different options of materials (i.e., wood, metal, etc.) and who will be responsible for getting them. i. Rick to pick up posts 4. High School student volunteers. How many students will we need? b) Unfinished Business 1. Public Art Fair – June 10, 2023 i. Any other food vendors, Lions, Pride Nutrition. ii. Update from Julie on pedestal sizes and sculpture sizes. iii. What is the cost for pedestals? iv. Did any artists cancel who could not be in the shelter after we emailed the acceptance letter? v. Confirm the sculptures arrival date is May 23, 2023. vi. Utility wraps to be printed and installed Summer 23 6) Future agenda items and/or member assignments. a) Review booth map on site: Lincoln and Michelle 7) Next meeting date & time.
