Oroville Civil Service Monday, October 27, 2014 Meeting called to order at 4:38 pm by Chairman Richard Werner. Present: Commissioners Richard Werner, Mike Sibley and Joe King. Others present: JoAnn Denney and Lindsey Acord. Approval of the minutes from the September 22, 2014 regular meeting. Motion by Mike to approve the minutes as written, second by Joe; motion carried. No scheduled appearances. Patrolman exams scheduled for December 6th. Position announcement published in several newspapers. Some entry level applications handed out, none returned. The tests are different this time. Discussed needing to renew test security agreement, taking JoAnn off as primary signer. Lindsey will be primary with JoAnn as secondary if allowed. If not, Richard will be primary and Lindsey secondary. Exams will be ordered and oral board will be set up by Lindsey and JoAnn prior to her absence. There is potential for a Corporal exam by the end of the year. Richard mentioned possible online testing available for patrolmen and will look into it further. As there being no further business, motion by Joe to adjourn the meeting at 4:53 pm, second by Mike; motion carried.
