Oroville Planning Commission Wednesday, December 17, 2014 The meeting was called to order at 4:35 by Chairman Judy Dunston. Present: Commissioners Suzi Seger, Judy Dunston, Luis Perez and Alternate Commissioners Arnie Marchand and Valorie Johnston Absent: Marc Egerton, One vacant position. Staff present: Chris Branch and Deanna Rowton. Suzie Seger made a motion to approve the minutes of the Nov. 19th meeting with a second by Luis Perez. The motion passed. Chris reported information on a Planner’s Forum being held February 4th, 9:00AM to 3:00PM in the Tri-Cities and invited anyone that may be interested in attending to go with him. It is a quarterly meeting of elected officials that may be educational for commission members. The focus of the upcoming meeting is “Emergency Management Planning.” Luis expressed interest and other members needed to look at calendars and schedules before making a commitment. It was decided to request from the Mayor / Council to reappoint Judy Dunston for another term as her present term expires on January 01, 2015. Along with the reappointment, it was decided to request that Arnie Marchand be appointed to Position #4 as it has been vacant for quite some time. Election of officers took place. For the year 2015 Chairman will be Luis Perez and Judy Dunston will be Vice Chairman. Chris reported that he is still waiting for the Department of Ecology to review the draft of the Shoreline Master Plan. Chris alerted members to be expecting some education / training on Open Public Meetings Act and Open Public Records Act in the near future. Chris gave an overview of the “Vision / Mission” section of the Comprehensive Plan draft. The meeting was adjourned at 6:30. Next meeting to be held Wednesday, January 7th, 2014 at 4:30 pm. 1
